About me
I'm Leon Taube. Born 1997, living in Bonn, Germany. Three attributes that describe me best: • Creative • Mindful • Hungry for education
Since November 2022 I've been Design Lead Operations at Stronger. We create performance ads for brands, and my job is to keep the design team running: workflows, tools, capacity and quality, so the designers can focus on the actual design.
I've always been drawn to visual things. It started with my dad's old camcorder, and when I was 13 I got my first DSLR. I've loved photography ever since.
Later I got into digital art and surreal photo manipulation, mostly around fashion. I shared it on Instagram, built a decent audience and got hooked on social media marketing along the way.
In 2017 I started my bachelor's degree in media and communication design at Macromedia in Cologne, working with real clients on real problems. After that I did my master's in design management at Macromedia, which I finished in 2022. The focus shifted from executing designs to strategy and managing creative processes - which is pretty much what I do every day now.
In 2020 I started my own second-hand clothing business, NINE TEES Vintage. Running it on my own taught me a lot about entrepreneurship, and I learned to sew along the way.
2021 was a highlight: I was nominated for the About You Awards in the category style, and my work was introduced on Pro7, one of the biggest German TV channels. A pretty surreal moment for someone who started with photo manipulation in his bedroom.
Before Stronger I took care of the creative work for Radius Design, Officina del Gusto and Radius Garage: product photography, graphic design, print and everything in between.
